H₂O Innovation is a leading company in water and wastewater treatment, specializing in innovative water technologies, services, specialty products, and contract operations.

We are seeking a skilled Vacuum Truck Operator to join our team in Gulfport, MS. Our next colleague will hold a full-time & permanent position. In this role, the vacuum truck operator will be responsible for unstopping and vacuuming blockages that may occur within the city’s sewer system.

The Day-to-Day

Unstop sewer blockages as required and vacuum materials from lines as needed.
Dispose of material in an appropriate location.
Maintain and operate vacuum truck in safe and efficient manner while removing sewer blockages.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as recommended by manufacturer.
Ensure a safe work zone is set up prior to work beginning.
Complete and submit written reports.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.

The Skills We Are Looking For

Valid class B commercial driver’s license (required – no exceptions).
Ability to obtain Tanker Endorsement.
High school diploma/GED.
At least 6 months related experience.
Knowledge of work hazards and safety precautions, including hazards that may exist in sewer environment.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to deal with the public on a regular basis in a professional, courteous manner.
Ability to perform physical tasks in various outdoor weather conditions.

The successful candidate will have to pass a background check which includes criminal background & motor vehicle report checks, as well as drug & alcohol screenings.
