Position Summary

Performs professional social casework services through the child welfare program. Ensures quality, effective and efficient social services are provided for clients with a focus on Child Welfare. Direct care functions may include assessments and follow-up appointments, referral, linkage and case management activities, including home-based interventions and supports for clients involved in the Child Welfare service area. 

Pay Rate

The hourly range $32.06 to $37.96 depending on experience, plus partial benefits.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license and ability to drive.
• Must complete ICS 100, 200, 700 within the first year of employment.
• Computer knowledge, telephone and fax operation.

Qualifications/Education

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with coursework in behavioral or social science, general office procedures and/or technical terminology as it relates to the position in childhood education, early development or related human service field. 
• At least 2 years’ experience in computer systems, data entry and working with the public in general office setting. Health care experience preferred. One-year experience assisting professionals in one or more of the following specialized social program areas: economically disadvantaged; mentally or physically disabled; at-risk adults; child abuse and neglect; working with families and children in social services, behavioral health services or other closely related field. Preference for experience with home-based services in strengths-based environment.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience that the County deems appropriate.
