Job Title: Child Development Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Child Development Assistant to support teachers in delivering educational activities that foster social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth in children. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist teachers in planning and implementing educational activities that promote child development.

- Aid in the preparation of weekly classroom activities and materials.

- Support field trip organization and logistics.

- Ensure workstations are sanitized and maintained for a safe learning environment.

- Help arrange and organize the classroom to enhance learning experiences.

- Act as an advocate for the childcare program, promoting its values and mission.

- Adhere to Department Policies and Procedures, as well as the Gunnison Valley Hospital Mission, Vision, Values, and Motto of “The Patient is First in All We Do.”

Skills and Qualifications:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.

- Knowledge of child development principles and practices.

Requirements

1. Food Handler Permit

2. CPR & First Aid Certificate 

Hospital will educate and reimburse for food handler permit and CPR/First Aid certificate.
