RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs tasks, activities, and responsibilities according to the established standard operating procedures and checklists.
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment according to an established schedule.
- Identifies continuous improvement initiatives when troubleshooting equipment issues to enhance overall efficiency and reduce waste in production.
- Interprets work orders and specifications to determine if machines and equipment require replacement, repair, or general maintenance.
- Investigate, identify, and resolve operational constraints in the process while eliminating and minimizing bottlenecks to prevent operational downtime.
- Ensures equipment is set up properly and operates for maximum efficiencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Engineering degree mechanical, mechatronics, industrial, electrical or equivalent.
- 1 year of relevant experience in a technician role, preferably food manufacturing.
- Analytically minded and willing to learn new computer systems.
SCHEDULE
- Either A or B shift
- 4 days on/3 days off
- Sundays are required
COMPENSATION
- Hourly established by the collective bargaining unit

- This position works on the production floor 95% of the time.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts; and occasionally in outside weather conditions and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment requires hearing protection at all times when on the production floor
