YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Inventory Control Lead opportunity in our Guymon Processing Plant. In this highly impactful role, you will be a key member of the box shop team.  The Inventory Control Lead will be responsible for maintaining the inspection, verification, recording, and input of data into a system for the receipt and distribution of packaging materials for a pork harvest facility—ability to communicate and collaborate with management and operations effectively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Physically receives and records all packaging materials in the company’s inventory system
  • Must understand labeling and lot system for product packaging
  • Conducts inventory counts, rotation, and transferring tasks, as required, and enters counts into the inventory control system using RF scanners
  • Monitors, verifies, and maintains inventory levels using existing inventory system
  • Maintain system data integrity, ensure entries follow defined nomenclature to support competitive sourcing events
  • Ability to operate a powered industrial truck (forklift) and maintain the certification
  • May be required to supervise and coordinate the activities of production employees in the absence of the Supervisor under the direction of departmental
  • Manager participates in department and company efforts to achieve goals and objectives
  • Communicates effectively and collaborates with department leaders and operations management to ensure the position provides a high level of customer service and accountability
  • Complies with all food safety and workplace safety practices and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

Required:

  • High School or GED.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • English required, bilingual a plus

Preferred:

  • Packaging and/or inventory experience, including mathematics and ability to interpret varying units of measure
  • Work experience in purchasing, materials management or other related field in a high volume, fast-paced work environment is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, advance Excel skills or similar application and M3 or other inventory control system experience preferred 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility. 
  • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Primarily an office environment with some need to work in the field.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is dependent on which environment you are in
