Koniag IT Systems, LLC (KITS), a Koniag Government Services (KGS) company, is seeking a Store Worker I to support KITS and our government customer.

The position will perform physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices
  • Unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations
  • Transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or wheel barrow
  • Responsible for submitting to the COR, Alternate COR, and SSA management weekly reports detailing the number of notices and cards delivered to the designated presort vendor.

Skills & Behaviors:

  • Knowledge of modern operating systems, networking, and MS Office software.
  • Knowledge of clerical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent attention-to-detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to listen effectively and express thoughts and opinions clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work well both alone and in highly structured team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications capabilities with good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more.

Education, Training, & Experience:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of personal computer experience. (required)
  • Some higher education experience or successful completion of related programs in data processing and computer operations. (preferred)
  • Experience in business mailroom, print operations, and/or mail sorting experience. (preferred)
  • Experience with using loading and maneuvering equipment safely and effectively. (preferred)

Qualifications:

  • Candidates who hold an active public trust government clearance are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates who are willing to undergo a background investigation to receive a government clearance will be strongly considered.
  • Candidates must be able to work Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm daily. (Hours may vary based on workload and candidates must be flexible)
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Must be able to stand for significant periods of time.
