Job Description

Material Handler

City of Industry, CA - Turnbull Canyon location

Compensation Includes

• Starting Pay Rate of $21.51 - $24.76/hour

Overview

The Material Handler will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within our facility.

Responsibilities 

• Assist in material handling tasks such as receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials
• Learn to operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and hand trucks under the supervision of experienced team members
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all team members
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and manage workflow effectively
• Assist in inventory management by accurately counting, labeling, and recording materials
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and address any concerns
• Handle materials with care to prevent damage and ensure quality standards are met
• Perform general warehouse duties such as cleaning and organizing work areas as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• No prior experience required, willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse setting
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely
