Job Description

As a Security Officer Facility Screening in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry points, screen people and materials, and support smooth daily operations through visible presence, attentive observation, and clear communication. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service while supporting security-related protocols. Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, personal belongings, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, delivery, and contractor activity to help support controlled entry and exit operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and/or unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting potential concerns, operational issues, and/or policy violations for follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
