About the Role:

Clem's Seafood is looking for a skilled Fish Cutter to join our team in the charming coastal town of Southport, NC. If you have a passion for fresh seafood and take pride in your craft, this is the perfect opportunity to do what you love every day. Responsibilities:

Fillet, cut, and portion fresh fish and seafood products to specification
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work station in compliance with food safety standards
Inspect seafood for quality and freshness before and during processing
Operate and safely handle knives, cleavers, and other cutting equipment
Package and label seafood products accurately for retail or wholesale distribution
Monitor and rotate inventory to ensure product freshness
Assist with receiving and unloading fresh seafood deliveries

Requirements:

Prior experience in fish cutting, seafood processing, or a related butchery role preferred
Strong knife skills and familiarity with a variety of fish and shellfish species
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling of perishable products
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in cold, wet environments
Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning or flexible hours
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
