Paint/Coating Prep Technician

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Paint/Coating Prep Technicians for projects located in the Blasdell, NY area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $20-23/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:         

• Prepare custom fabricated metal surfaces and modular components for industrial coatings by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and prepping metal surfaces
• Operate abrasive blasting equipment when necessary
• Mask and protect surfaces prior to painting
• Load and stage parts for coating and blasting processes
• Maintain, prep areas and equipment, and follow technical instructions, product data sheets, and safety data sheets

Requirements

• Experience in industrial or manufacturing paint preparation, abrasive blasting, or metal finishing
