Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on all golf course equipment.
- Develop and perform preventative maintenance programs for all equipment.
- Communicate equipment maintenance and repair needs to the Superintendent.
- Repair and maintain diesel and gasoline engines.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Maintain and sharpen reel and rotary mowing equipment as directed by the Superintendent.
- Order and receive parts, track inventory, and maintain accurate repair records.
- Train staff on the safe and proper use of equipment.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean shop area.
- Assist in planning for future capital equipment purchases.
- Maintain fleet carts and beverage carts.
- Operate heavy and light equipment as needed.
- Perform snow removal duties during winter months.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Requirements:
- Prior mechanical experience required; experience with golf course equipment preferred.
Special Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must have own tools.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
