The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed healthcare organization in Hamilton, TX to find an experienced and dependable Admissions Clerk to support inpatients, outpatients and emergency patients’ admission to hospital services.

In this role, you will process and maintain admission records, serve as a liaison for patients and their families, and report directly to the Patient Access Manager.

This position is designated as OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class III, with no anticipated occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens during the normal performance of job duties.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and verify patient demographic, insurance, and financial information
  • Complete admissions and obtain required consent forms
  • Verify insurance coverage, pre-authorizations, co-insurance, and deductibles
  • Arrange payment plans and provide financial counseling for uninsured patients or those unable to pay in full
  • Process payments, issue receipts, and ensure accurate account posting
  • Reconcile cash, receipts, petty cash, and daily transactions; prepare deposits and credit card transmittals
  • Maintain cash receipts, daily transaction records, office files, and required financial reports.
  • Review accounts for outstanding balances and escalate issues as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with professionalism
  • Provide excellent customer service and follow safety policies

What We Are Looking For:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Typing speed of 45 WPM; proficient with computers, calculators, and general clerical tasks
  • Previous medical office experience preferred
  • Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
