The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading healthcare organization in Hamilton, TX and we are seeking an experienced Controller for their Business Office.

In this role, you will manage the accounting department and provide accurate financial information and analysis to support informed decision-making by leadership, the Board, and other key stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reports, monthly statements, annual audits, and budgets
  • Oversee disbursement operations ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, expense reports, payroll processing, cash controls, and payroll tax compliance
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls to ensure data integrity, process accuracy, and operational efficiency
  • Provide the CFO with accurate, timely financial information and support as requested
  • Lead special projects and compile a variety of special reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information
  • Build positive relationships with hospital staff, customers, and the public
  • Handle external customer communications as needed
  • Recommend accounting process improvements, policies, and procedures to the CFO
  • Follow all Healthcare System safety policies and guidelines

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of accounting management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations
  • Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to perform sedentary work, including occasional lifting, filing, bending, and standing
  • Strong leadership, management, and written/verbal communication skills
