The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed healthcare organization in Hamilton; TX and we are looking to hire a dependable and compassionate Dietary Host/Hostess-Cook to be a part of the Food Services department.

In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between patients and Food Services by managing room service orders, delivering and retrieving meal trays, operating kitchen equipment, collaborating with team members, and providing excellent customer service.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean work area and assist with food prep, station setup, and stocking
  • Answer patient calls, enter meal orders, and verify patient information
  • Respond to menu questions and report nutrition, quality, or process concerns to the RDN
  • Prepare and serve food according to recipes, therapeutic diets, and physician orders
  • Maintain knowledge of menus, diet restrictions, allergens, and food/drug interactions
  • Assemble and deliver patient trays; document deliveries and missed meals
  • Conduct patient visits, support dietary consultations, and promote patient satisfaction
  • Follow patient identification, safety, and service procedures
  • Assist with cafeteria food service and nutrition room stocking
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen, cafeteria, dish washing, storage, and assigned work areas
  • Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
  • Ensure food temperature standards, presentation, and chart completion
  • Maintain security of assigned devices and a positive customer service attitude

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read and write, Computer literate
  • 1+ year of institutional food preparation experience preferred
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
