Lead Teacher – Key Responsibilities
- Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning® curriculum
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Lead daily classroom activities and inspire young learners
- Observe, assess, and document children’s development and share insights with families
- Maintain open, positive communication with families and guardians
- Supervise indoor and outdoor activities while upholding health, safety, and licensing standards
- Model and implement positive behavior guidance strategies
- Support and mentor Assistant and Resource Teachers
- Participate in ongoing professional development
Lead Teacher Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
- Completion of state-required pre-service training
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Assistant Teacher – Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean learning environment
- Supervise children and provide individualized care and support
- Assist with daily care routines and classroom activities
- Support communication with families regarding daily activities and progress
- Adhere to all health, safety, and licensing regulations
Assistant Teacher Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Basic understanding of child development
- Compassionate, dependable, and able to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must meet state background check and credential requirements
