Your Role in Synergy's Success

This position is responsible for maintenance in a flavors manufacturing facility. The technician will have electrical/electronic skills and knowledge of PLCs, AC motors and drives, automated valves, flow meters, level controls and schematics. Experience with devices that use ASI communication protocol is a plus. The technician should also have mechanical skills and knowledge of pneumatics, power transmission and pumps

How You Will Contribute

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency and routine maintenance in support of manufacturing and upkeep of the facility
  • Troubleshoot issues and resolve them with minimal assistance
  • Communicate with vendors to identify and purchase parts
  • Cross train with other technicians to broaden the knowledge base of the Maintenance department
  • Help to maintain inventory of critical spare parts
  • Participate in projects to upgrade the facility and manufacturing processes
  • Complete documentation related to the position such as work orders and log books

 

Requirements

 

  • Trade School diploma, Military Training or Associates from a technical college
  • Experience with liquid processing in relation to direct and indirect steam injection, heat exchangers, membrane filtration and energy recovery.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience performing industrial maintenance in Pharmaceutical, Dairy or Food industries.
  • Strong leadership skills and initiative.
  • Ability to multitask or handle multiple simultaneous projects and priorities.
  • Good communication skills verbal and written. Able to communicate with all levels of the organization including technical teams.
  • Ability to read P&IDs, PFDs and electrical schematics.
