Responsibilities & Requirements

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI exams in a timely manner while maintaining a strong understanding of MRI safety protocols, including those related to research workflows. They interact positively with multiple patient populations and serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team. Flexibility is essential, as the position may require on-call availability and holiday coverage. Performs other duties as assigned.  Minimum Education
  • Graduate from ARRT accredited MRI educational program OR Graduate from ARMRIT accredited MRI education program

Required Licenses

  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT at hire (Preferred) OR
  • ARRT in one of these Radiography (R)/Nuclear Medicine (N)/Radiation Therapy (T)/ Sonography (S) required and get ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT within 24 months of hire date
  • Current BLS required

  • Proficient in operating an MRI scanner and adjusting imaging parameters
  • Well-versed and compliant in MRI safety and understands research workflow for MRI safety requirements

  • Perform MRI Examinations
  • Ensure Patient Safety and Comfort
  • Administration of Contrast Media
  • Maintain MRI Equipment and Safety Standards
  • Collaboration with multi-disciplinary health care team
  • Document and Manage Patient Information
  • Research of Implantable Devices for MRI Compatibility
  • Adhere to Compliance and Regulatory Standards
  • Assist with Workflow and Operational Efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of MRI experience
