Position Summary
1st Shift: Tuesday through Friday 4:55am-3:05pm

The Quality Technician will examine products for defects or deviations from specifications. Members of this team will evaluate, assess and re-evaluate company-wide processes that affect individual label quality to ensure we exceed customer expectations.
Pay and Benefits
Pay: $17.00-$24.00/hour

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
· Inspection of product prior to secondary finishing or shipping as well as in process product.
· Performance of process/SWI audits.
· Assist in the creation and/or updating of processes/SWIs.
· Assist in review of customer complaints as needed.
· Check in and inspect Return Materials.
· Measure products with rulers, micrometers, spectrophotometer, loupes, etc. to ensure conformance with order specifications.
· Verification of required documentation, reporting any failures to Quality Manager.
· Accepts or rejects finished items.
· Segregate and manage of any rejected items to remove from workflow and prevent shipment.
· Provide feedback of all findings to Quality Manager.
· Any other duties assigned by Quality Manager.
Requirements
· Keen eye for color – ability to distinguish between minimal color variances.
· A heighten focus for detail is essential.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to read, interpret and create simple correspondence and memos.
· Moderate work experience using a computer including data entry and Microsoft office programs including Word and Excel.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to read a ruler.
· Ability to manage multiple, on-going, and high priority assignments at the same time.
· Ability to work independently.
· Work flexibility – willingness to cover other team members during vacation/other time off as needed, willingness to work OT as needed
Education and Experience
· High School diploma or equivalent. May include specialized classes beyond high school.
· Minimum of 2 years experience in printing preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years experience in a quality role.
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
· Frequent exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant or hazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals, etc.. 51% to 80% of work time
· Incumbent constantly required to hear, speak, articulate and use manual dexterity.
· Incumbent regularly required to stand, walk, use color vision, grasp, reach and sit for prolonged periods of time.
· Incumbent occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction.
