The Staff Pad has partnered with a prestigious healthcare organization in Hamilton, TX to find a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join their growing Physical Therapy team.

In this role you will administer and oversee physician-prescribed physical therapy treatments and therapeutic modalities to support patient rehabilitation and recovery.

What You'll Do

Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physician-directed therapy services by:

  • Delivering physical therapy treatments according to prescribed plans and scheduled appointments
  • Preparing, educating, and monitoring patients throughout treatment sessions to ensure safe and effective care
  • Administering therapeutic exercises, physical agents, and ambulatory procedures while providing age-appropriate care in accordance with departmental policies
  • Documenting treatments accurately and communicating patient progress to therapists, physicians, and leadership
  • Maintaining therapy equipment through routine upkeep, cleaning, sanitization, storage, and minor preventive maintenance

Additional Requirements

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and provide exceptional patient service
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Follow infection control, safety procedures, and Healthcare System policies
  • Process daily therapy service charges

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
  • Current Texas PTA license required
  • Knowledge of physical therapy equipment and procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • CPR certification

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient transfers; push/pull up to 300 lbs as needed
