Shipping Dockhand Level 2 Roles and Responsibilities

Role: 

Dockhands are responsible for safely and accurately managing inventory, packaging, and loading products to ensure we achieve our corporate goals. Secondary functions include receiving purchase orders, picking and packaging orders from the order fulfillment center, assembling tanks to quality specifications, and assisting other Triton departments upon request.

 

Reports to: Shipping Administrator

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Required understanding of shipping processes for Triton and customer systems. (having the ability to backup shipping administrator).
  2. Safe operation of material handling equipment
  3. Meet expectations on picking accuracy and efficiency.
  4. Ensure truck drivers spend minimal time on the dock by staging and prepping loads for shipments.
  5. Validate inventory counts when locating product.
  6. Package product to ensure zero damage during transit.
  7. Receive purchase orders that are delivered to the dock.
  8. Understand all labeling requirements for inventory and shipping.

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

  1. Understanding of customer and Triton shipping procedures
  2. Assembly tanks to quality specifications
  3. Assisting other Triton departments upon request

 

Leadership and Behavior Responsibilities:

  1. Exemplify the Triton way process by encouraging and maintaining a positive influence and environment.
  2. Be living example of the Triton way for follow team members to follow.
  3. Implement and enforce 6S Practices: Apply 6S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety) to maintain and organized, efficient, and safe workspace, ensuring optimal workflow and adherence to safety standards.
  4. Supply suggestions/ideas to make Triton a better work environment for all involved.

  • $18- $20.00
