Physical Therapy Assistant PTA in Hamlin, TX with $1600 Weekly Gross

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a PTA for a travel contract position in Hamlin, TX. We are accepting both local and travel candidates.

Position Name: Physical Therapy Assistant - LTC

Location: Hamlin, Texas 

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Full-time, Travel, Contract, Temporary

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Pay Rate: $1600 weekly Gross Pay based on a 40-hour work week (Includes Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Unit: PTA, LTC 

Shifts available: Days

Schedule: 40 hours/week guaranteed, 5 X 8-hours, Monday-Friday, No weekends, No call 

Position Requirements:

• Physical Therapy Assistant experience: 2+ years - Required
  
• LTC experience - Preferred 
  
• Prior Travel experience – Preferred 
  

Education, License, and Certification Requirements:

• PTA License for the State applying or Compact if applicable - Required
  
• BLS Certification  - Preferred 
  

Job Description:

• Under the direction and supervision of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants treat patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions. They record patients' progress and report the results of each treatment to the physical therapist.
  
• Implement components of patient care, obtain data related to the treatments provided, and collaborate with the PT to modify care as necessary.
  
• Assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals
  
• Help patients stretch and exercise certain muscle groups
  
• Work directly with Physical Therapist to assist patients
  
• Keep physical therapy area clean and organized
  
• Teach patients techniques like balance training
