Maintenance Technician

Job DetailsJob Location: Hammond, LA 70403ELOS Environmental, an Aventia Company (ELOS) is looking for a skilled maintenance technician to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. Responsibilities include applying basic fixes to equipment and ensuring facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.   Responsibilities Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, etc. Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, etc. Install appliances and equipment Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, trimming, collecting trash, etc. Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs (will require climbing a ladder) Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation) Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) Run errands as needed (will require ability to drive a company truck) Maintain tools and equipment such as weed trimmers, vehicles, tractors, etc. Maintain upkeep of pool Travel to several locations for job duties Assist with prepping for and cooking for events Report to manager and owners for issues Be available for after-hours and weekend work when needed QualificationsRequirements and skills Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Valid driver’s license Experience using hand and electrical tools Knowledge and ability to pull and back up trailers Ability to read technical manuals and drawings Very good communication and interpersonal skills Physical stamina and dexterity High school diploma or equivalent Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Short-term disability insurance Long-term disability insurance Paid time off 401(k) matching Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: Hammond, LA 70403: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Work Location: In person
