Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records. Help physicians examine and treat patients Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean. Operate electrocardiogram (EKG), or other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests. Requirements:  Completion of a Medical Assistant program Previous experience in Cardiology Preferred Experience with EKGs is required   About Hammond, LA Hammond LA is located 45 miles east of Baton Rouge and 45 miles northwest of New Orleans.
