We are seeking a highly motivatedcandidate with experience supporting one of the following aircraft: A10, F15, F16 or F22 to support our USAF HQ ACC contract on Langley AFB, VA.  The A10/F15/F16/F22 Support position shall support and assist with efforts to translate weapon system requirements into documented studies and analyses. This will include providing technical and analytical assistance to assess weapon system capabilities and translate system requirements into resource evaluation and documentation products.

 

Responsibilities

This position shall maintain broad technical and analytical resource proficiency to efficiently translate weapon system requirements into documented resource reports. This will require maintaining a close interface with a wide range of users, developers, industry, Air Staff, and other agencies as required to ensure resource development efforts are aligned with overall DoD direction.

Provide support to effectively plan, program, budget, and execute resource requirements. Assist in performing capabilities, program, and cost analyses for new and modified systems to include managing, developing, and analyzing resource documentation for the core A5/8/9 missions in support of program execution. This includes building and defending 4-Star decision data via the USAF Strategic Planning and Programming Process and directly influencing the POM process once those planning decisions are made. Develop Rapid Prototyping Requirements Documents, Rapid Fielding Requirements Documents, Capabilities Needs Statements and other rapid acquisition products in line with evolving Headquarters Air Force (HAF)/A5R policy and guidance/guidebooks and support Solutions Pathway Reviews. Assist and support efforts to accomplish studies, technical analysis, and reports. These efforts will provide information necessary to determine capability gaps, inefficiencies, and effectiveness of capabilities to combat current threats within the A5/8/9 mission areas. Assist with facilitating and integrating efforts of working groups and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure consistency of data/information that is being developed.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
  • Top Secret with SCI and SAP eligibility
  • Must have Three (3) years’ experience with one of the following:
    • MAJCOM or higher Air Force level staff (combination of active duty, Government service, or Contractor) in operations, or working specific program or subject area of the specific A5/8/9 mission area being tasked
    • Air Staff Program Element Monitor (PEM) experience
  • Five (5) years rated operational CAF fighter expertise (Note: Fighter Pilots do not require staff experience)
  • JCIDS Requirements (or equivalent) experience or Planning and Programming experience

 

Schedule

  • Core hours are from 0800-1700 M-F - you can work with your customer leadership to set hours
  • You can flex time during the 2 week pay cycle - avoid using PTO for appointments
  • A compressed work schedule may be available at the discretion of work center leadership (i.e. 4/10 or 9/80)
