- Contract Type: 1 base year with 4, 1-year option periods
- Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday with rotating weekend/holiday coverage.

- Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
- Board Certified /Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Previous experience with the VA is a plus.

What does a typical day look like for the Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist?
You will:
- Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday with rotating weekend/holiday coverage.
- See about 12-15 patients each day.
- Direct Patient Care: estimated 95% of the time involved in direct patient care. Contractor shall be responsible for performing all tasks below.
- Inpatient Care: All Psychiatry Physicians will be required to work in collaboration with Mental Health staff who are part-time or full-time salaried by the VA for inpatient care duties including but not limited to:
- Operating and collaborating with patients
- Seeing Ward Patients
- Admitting
- Diagnosis of patients
- Developing Treatment Plans
- Managing, including the performance of timely treatment
- Discharge/Transfer
- Including all needed medical record documentation
- Outpatient Care
- Seeing all new patient referrals with accompanying medical records
- Seeing severely mentally ill patients
- Evaluation disposition E-consult
- Post-discharge follow-up
- Patients must be seen by provider in 30 days
- History and Physical (H&P) as required and any other documentation
- Administrative: estimated 5% of time not involved in direct patient care.

If selected, candidates will need to complete credentialing and onboarding requirements consistent with VA medical staff processes.
