Autism Center of Excellence is hiring a Behavior Technician (BT) to provide in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for a young pediatric client in Hampton, VA.

This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with younger children and have experience supporting early developmental and communication skills. Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with a child while implementing individualized treatment plans developed by a supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Schedule


Monday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Thursday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Friday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM


Key Responsibilities


• Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy to a pediatric client
• Implement treatment plans developed by supervising BCBAs
• Support communication, play, and early developmental skills
• Collect and document behavioral data during sessions
• Follow behavior intervention and safety plans
• Collaborate with supervising clinicians and caregivers
• Maintain professional and timely session documentation

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Certification


• RBT certification preferred but not required
• BT candidates will receive paid training toward RBT certification


Qualifications


• Experience working with young children preferred (especially under age 4)
• Experience in ABA, childcare, preschool, or early intervention is a plus
• Reliable transportation
• Professional, dependable, and compassionate
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
