POSITION SUMMARYÂ
As Post Harvest Technician III, you will play a critical role in harvesting, weighing, drying, curing, trimming, and machine operation processing cannabis material. This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced hands-on environment and want to contribute to a mission-driven company.Â

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESÂ

Able to perform all Post Harvest Technician I and II job dutiesÂ
-
Participates in harvesting, intaking, drying, curing, trimming, machine operation, and transfer of cannabis materialÂ
-
Become proficient in the setup, adjustment, and operations of all equipment in the facilitiesÂ
-
Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems detectedÂ
-
Work with others to ensure that equipment is in proper working orderÂ
-
Responsible for running, maintaining, and cleaning of the machineryÂ
-
Attention to detail to ensure the machine is properly cared for and the environment is held to food safety standardsÂ
-
Defoliation of the plants as neededÂ
-
Maintain compliance using a centralized tracking systemÂ
-
Documenting testing results through reports and logsÂ
-
Inputting data into the company databaseÂ
-
Continual quality control assessment as product moves through the processÂ
-
Maintaining and operating all equipment in accordance with standard operating proceduresÂ
-
Weighing and disposing of all plant waste materialÂ
-
Ensure that material and/or products are processed and prepared by following SOP and/or cGMP standards of cleanliness and hygieneÂ

Ensure all material and/or product is accounted for according to company policy and proceduresÂ

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag any excess plant material leaving the work areas cleanÂ

Clean, sanitize, and store all equipment upon useÂ

Observe and follow company safety rules and regulationsÂ

Perform various manual cross department job duties as neededÂ

Ensure an overall positive, safe and clean environmentÂ

QUALIFICATIONSÂ

Must be proficient and achieve goals in all Post Harvest Technician I and II skill assessmentsÂ
-
Must be active in the Post Harvest Technician II role for minimum of 6 months to qualify for Post Harvest Technician III roleÂ

Knowledge and understanding of cannabis handling including harvesting, drying, curing, and trimmingÂ
-
Maintain good discipline and attendance standardsÂ
-
Ability to work hands on with cannabis plant material dailyÂ
-
Ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the production department as needed/requested by the direct supervisorÂ
-
Ability to work as a team unit while completing tasks and creating constructive collaboration with members of other departments Â

Create a proactive environment while maintaining a positive attitudeÂ

Self-motivated, innovative, and a team playerÂ

Excellent time management skills, driving efficiency and productivity to ensure goals are consistently met while maintaining high quality finished productÂ

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSÂ

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)Â

High school diploma or equivalent requiredÂ

Must have valid Driver’s License or ability to obtain one  Â

Must pass a level 2 background screeningÂ

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSÂ

Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance. Â

Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks. Â

Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)Â
-
Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions. Â

Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise). Â
