General Job Summary
The Mail Room Associate is responsible for processing all incoming and outgoing mail. Greet visitors and operate front reception desk.Â
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Open, sort and distribute all mail, UPS, and FedEx packages received
- Prepare incoming payments for Remittance Department.Â
- Pick up, fold, and deliver all outgoing mail to USPS by end of day.
- Scan and save documents for each department.
- Provide document images as needed.
Other Job Functions
- All other duties as assigned by management
Working Environment
Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor-allergens. Employee will work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.Â
Requirements
Education, Training and Work Experience
- High school diploma (or equivalent )Â
- Previous experience in business/office environment desired
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Maintain & foster positive relationships with customers and business partners
- Complete all assigned training in a timely manner
- Provide professional communication in both oral & written expression
- Ability to manage and maintain confidential information
- Excellent organizational, time management & analytical skills
- Able to communicate effectively
- High degree of dependability
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- May be required to work outside of standard business hours
- Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk)
- Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard)
