Hood Packaging is currently recruiting for a Night Shift Palletizer for our Hanford Plant who will be responsible for palletizer set-up for orders, safely operates palletizer to production target, and quality standards. Operates material handling equipment (forklift and clamp truck) to move inventory and materials from warehouse to other designated areas and assists shipping and receiving with unloading/loading trucks.

Functional Responsibilities

• Sets-up palletizer to specifications outlined on the order

• Operates palletizing machine to standard production target
• Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member
• Ensures work area is kept clean per SQF standards
• Follow and support food safety guidelines according to SQF standards
• Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met
• Assists shipping and receiving
• Loading/Unloading trucks
• Operates forklift and clamp truck as needed to move materials from receiving/storage warehouse to designated areas

Qualifications

• Significant time is spent on the Facility floor.  Hazards are those normally associated with a Plant position and include noise levels above 85 decibels, warm building temperature during mid-summer months.

Skills

• Basic machine functions/good mechanical comprehension abilities
• Reading, writing, and arithmetic
• Read tape measure (Standard Tape Measure)
