Position Summary:  

Pentair is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to evaluate, develop and improve manufacturing methods. In this role, the Manufacturing Engineer will utilize project management skills to implement new operational processes and equipment to assist the business unit in meeting its strategic goals. The Manufacturing Engineer will participate in and support kaizen events, cell design, standard product design revisions, cost improvement projects, capital expenditure projects and supply chain initiatives. Interested candidates, who meet the requirements below, are encouraged to apply today!   

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provides technical support for plant operations through resolving assembly line issues, implement improvements to drive continuous flow and reduce quality related defects. 

  • Provide guidance and training to operators, cell leads, and Production Manager regarding projects, process improvements and issues with the line. 

  • Identifies root causes and develops strategies for eliminating re-occurring downtime. Continually monitor, analyze, and resolve process problems. Document all proposals for improved efficiencies and make adjustments as required.  

  • Works with plant quality control and manufacturing personnel to ensure process and equipment is capable of producing product that meets quality and engineering standards. 

  • Reviews new and modified product specifications for proper content and supports their introduction into the manufacturing floor. 

  • Able to source outside vendors, define SOW’s and manage contract deliverables.  

  • Responsible for start-up, set-up, and validation of new tools and equipment, and for conducting trials, including documentation. 

  • Monitors process, including new equipment and tools, to ensure performance to specifications. Implements capital and non-capital projects. 

  • Applies statistical methods and data driven problem solving to supply capable equipment, tools, materials and processes to manufacturing.  

  • Assists with assuring tools, equipment, and processes comply with OSHA standards. 

  • Participate in the advanced product quality planning FMEA activities for the development of the control plan.  

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Skills and Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Mechanical or Industrial preferred. 

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience. 

  • Experience with the implementation of new equipment on the production floor preferred. 

  • Proven track record of leveraging Project Management Methodologies to implement improvements or Capital Projects per establish timelines and budgets. 

  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and JDE. 

  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills with applications (i.e. Design of Experiments, Root Cause Problem Solving, Driving SQDCC Metrics)

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Solidworks, and other related programs.

Language Skills 

Proficiency in English required.  Proficiency in Spanish a plus.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82300- $152800/ year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with a demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
