Job DetailsJob Location: Hanover, PA 17331Job Shift: GraveyardThe Sanitation Supervisor oversees daily sanitation activities to ensure all equipment, production areas, and facility spaces are cleaned and maintained to food‑safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role leads and develops the sanitation team, manages cleaning schedules, supports audit readiness, and promotes safe work practices. Through strong coordination and communication, the supervisor helps maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment that supports consistent, high‑quality production operations. Leads sanitation operations, including cleaning schedules, sanitation procedures, and verification of equipment, production areas, and facility cleanliness. • Oversees building sanitation activities, including cleaning of floors, walls, ceilings, drains, waste areas, breakrooms, restrooms, and common spaces to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. • Ensures proper sanitation of non‑production areas such as offices, hallways, and utility rooms, coordinating with janitorial or contracted services as needed. • Ensures compliance with food safety and quality programs such as GMPs, HACCP, allergen control, and sanitation standards; maintains audit readiness and supports inspections. • Conducts safety orientations and training, enforces safe work practices, corrects unsafe conditions, and investigates workplace accidents. • Monitors equipment, materials, and personnel flow to maintain consistent production output and minimize downtime. • Provides coaching, feedback, and performance guidance to sanitation employees; supports training and skill development. • Collaborates with cross‑functional teams—including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse—to resolve issues and support continuous production flow. • Identifies opportunities to improve sanitation effectiveness and overall operational performance; participates in continuous improvement initiatives. • Supervises and coaches employees, enforces company policies, and administers discipline fairly and consistently. • Actively engages in leadership development and training programs to strengthen supervisory capabilities. • Creates and delivers training that clearly defines job responsibilities, expectations, and best practices. • Maintains accurate records, including sanitation logs, production reports, chemical usage, and timekeeping. • Responsible for reviewing and approving timecard activity for all direct reports to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll processing. • Ensures proper administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and timely resolution of grievances. • Ensures compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements. • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.   QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Operations, Food Science, Business, or a related field preferred. • 3–5 years of experience in sanitation or food manufacturing; supervisory experience strongly preferred. • Working knowledge of USDA regulations, sanitation practices, and food manufacturing best practices. • Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, and food safety programs. • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. • Ability to train, motivate, and guide employees in a fast‑paced environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn internal systems and production software. • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions with limited information and manage multiple priorities. • Flexibility to work weekends, off‑shifts, and extended hours based on business needs.
