Aerotek has an immediate opening for a Contracts Negotiator / Manager at the corporate office in Hanover, MD.

 

Role Summary

A contracts manager is a key member of our team who supports the finance and legal departments in managing the contractual aspects of our business. They are involved in defining, developing and implementing policies and practices for contract negotiation and compliance. They also assist in making decisions and providing guidance for successful and risk-minimized negotiations with existing and new clients. They will assist in developing and implementing contractual relationships through the proposal, negotiation, award, administration, and closeout phases.  They shall be responsible for successful negotiation and execution of agreements for existing and new clients and ensuring alignment with our business goals and values.

 

Essential Functions

  • Contract negotiations: Negotiate and execute contracts, modifications, teaming agreements and non-disclosure agreements with clients and partners.
  • Contract tracking and summary: Maintain and update records of all contractual documents and create contract summary documents for easy reference and reporting.
  • Business risk management and contract compliance: Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to contracts and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies.
  • Contract administration and compliance program best practices: Develop and implement best practices for contract administration and compliance program and provide training and support to other departments as needed.
  • Support to finance team: Provide input and advice to finance team in making go/no-go decisions and evaluating contract performance and profitability.

 

Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills

  • Degree in Business or related field is required.
  • Negotiating: Ability to negotiate effectively and professionally with clients and partners.
  • Problem solving: Ability to analyze and resolve complex and diverse contractual issues and challenges.
  • Dealing with ambiguity: Ability to cope with uncertainty and change and adapt to different situations and demands.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work well with others and foster positive and productive relationships across the organization.
  • Action oriented: Ability to take initiative and deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively both verbally and in writing.
  • Customer focus: Ability to understand and meet the needs and expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Business acumen: Ability to understand and apply business principles and strategies to contract management.

 

Compensation

Per Pay Transparency Acts: The range for this position is $75,000 - $115,000 + bonus potential of up to $5,000 - $10,000 (bonus tiered based on role-specific tenure)
