Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Finished Goods Handler to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA on Weekend Night Shift. 

 

As a Finished Goods Handler this candidate will be responsible to move product, pull orders, load trailers and coordinate trailer movement with local and outlying facilities. This position works Thursday - Saturday 6PM-6AM.

 

Responsibilities

  • Packs products into cartons, cans, and specialized containers.

  • Delivers necessary materials to production lines.

  • Places cardboard skids at tables and packing stations.

  • Transports packed products from the packing area to the warehouse using a hand jack.

  • Scans finished products into inventory with scanning equipment.

  • Records waste at the end of each shift.

  • Sets up and operates barrel labeling equipment.

  • Able to lift up to 80 lbs.

  • Collaborates proactively with a cross-functional team of diverse individuals.

  • Adheres to safety standards and reports any safety concerns to the supervisor.

  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move up to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in verifying codes, dates, pricing, and packaging.
  • Strong multitasking skills, especially under high-pressure times, to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with operating hand jacks or similar material handling equipment is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a diverse team.

Qualifications
  • Requires basic math and reading skills.​
  • Knowledge of types and locations of products and truck loading procedures acquired through on the job training.
  • The ability to prioritize workload to satisfy all production requirements.
  • Requires a forklift operator’s license.
  • Requires the ability to operate a hand jack and life up to 45 lbs.
