We’re looking for a dedicated and motivated Pharmacy Shipping Associate who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment, and takes pride in ensuring patient medications are packed and shipped safely, accurately, and on time.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Cedar Knolls, NJ pharmacy, reporting directly to the Pharmacy Operations Manager. This position works our second shift, Monday through Friday, 11:30 am to 8 pm, with participation in a monthly Saturday rotation from 9 am to 3 pm.

Core Responsibilities: 
 
  • Review pharmacy orders prior to packing to confirm medications, supplies, quantities, and other order details are complete and consistent with the dispensing workflow.
  • Verify patient and shipping information, including delivery address and shipping requirements, to support accurate and timely delivery of patient medications.
  • Identify order, packaging, or shipping discrepancies and promptly escalate concerns to the appropriate pharmacy team member before shipment.
  • Package pharmacy orders, including injectable, oral, topical, and compounded medications, IV solutions, administration supplies, and other pharmacy products.
  • Accurately select appropriate packing methods based on medication and shipping requirements while adhering to established safety and quality standards.
  • Select and process appropriate delivery methods for outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare, print, and affix shipping labels according to order and delivery requirements.
  • Prepare and track invoices and delivery instructions for delivery staff and common carriers.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and medical professionals by phone and in person, as needed.
  • Receive, organize, and put away incoming inventory and supplies.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and appropriately stocked pharmacy workstations, storage areas, and shipping areas.
  • Assist with the distribution of supply orders to appropriate staff and areas throughout the facility.
  • Assist with maintaining pharmacy filing systems, including hard-copy records, signature logs, and invoices, as needed.

Qualifications:
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in shipping, fulfillment, logistics, pharmacy, or a related field; specialty pharmacy environment, preferred.
  • Active pharmacy technician registration in New Jersey, or eligibility and willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Availability to work our second shift, Monday through Friday, 11:30 am to 8 pm (close).
  • Availability to participate in a monthly Saturday rotation from 9 am to 3 pm.
  • Motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and interest in beginning or advancing their career in pharmacy.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to recognize discrepancies, ask questions, and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential protected health information (PHI) with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel).
