AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Hanover, PA is seeking a full-time Warehouse Utility Handler. Responsible for safely operating stand-up, double reach forklifts to move, stack and organize goods within our warehouse or production facility. Our forklift drivers play an important role in inventory management by moving and managing a consistent flow of materials and supporting daily goals and objectives. 

This position is an exciting opportunity for someone to work at a company that will reward great attendance and a positive attitude.  Candidates must have at least 3 years of forklift experience, strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to give and follow instructions and safety procedures. Reporting to the 1st Shift Production Supervisor, the Warehouse Utility Handler shift is an hourly, first shift; 8 AM – 4:30 PM, non-exempt position and requires working collaboratively across the production and management team. 

Although not all inclusive, some additional job responsibilities and skills will include:

  • Ability to safely operate and maintain a powered industrial forklift (Narrow Reach/Sit Down/Electric Pallet Jack); prefer stand-up/narrow reach experience. 
  • Accurately and efficiently pick, count, and transport components related to the production process to the designated production cell area.
  • Arrange and actively participate in setting up production cells as necessary to support daily manufacturing and sales fulfillment requirements. Ensure production areas are fully stocked and have the continuous products needed to fulfill and ship orders.
  • Act as a key support liaison to production team as needed, performing tasks as required to assist in the production life-cycle process.
  • Complete and report on various inventory management functions including the accurate completion of Smart Sheets.
  • Take ownership for the quality and integrity of components and finished goods.
  • Complete and record daily and weekly pre/post shift forklift inspection checklist. Timely report all incidents and need for required maintenance.
  • Able to receive and maintain forklift certification and perform daily required inspections per OSHA and Company standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with previous experience operating forklifts.
  • Sound math and analytical skills with the ability to make decisions, notice errors, and perform basic calculations such as add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Comprehend English language with the ability to communicate through reading, speaking and writing.
  • Basic computer skills required to input data, print/track orders, and perform numerous tasks related to the production and shipping process.
  • Ability to follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping required records.
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner with the ability to perform task through to completion.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season.
  • Maintain a clean & safe environment working environment.
  • Participate and pass all Company forklift training per OSHA mandate once every year. 
  • Attend Job training related to production for professional growth
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by Company and OSHA standards.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work overtime as required.
  • Valid Driver’s license
