Highly Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist (Band 7)

Salary: Competitive (NHS Band 7 equivalent)

About Our Client

Our client provides specialist paediatric occupational therapy services for children and young people with complex physical, developmental, and sensory needs. Their multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to deliver high-quality care and support across community and clinical settings.

About the Role

As a Highly Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Work as an autonomous practitioner managing a complex caseload.
  • Undertake advanced assessments using standardised and non-standardised tools.
  • Develop and implement tailored intervention plans for children with diverse needs.
  • Provide specialist advice and consultation to families, schools, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and EHCP processes.
  • Support service development and participate in audits and clinical governance activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OT to make a significant impact in a short-term role within a supportive team environment.

About You

  • Diploma/BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Extensive experience in paediatric occupational therapy, including complex cases.
  • Advanced clinical reasoning and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
