POSITION SUMMARY:Â

River Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Nurse Manager. The Nurse Manager provides direct supervision to nursing staff on all shifts campus-wide for all patient service levels. Provides physical assessments of residents, implements resident's treatment plan, evaluates response to treatment, provides complete documentation, performs physical restraint assessments, administers medications as prescribed, and provides health care education for residents and families. Performs duties in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, and facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards. Graduate of cn accrediated nursing program. BSN or Master's degree preferred.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

- Experience: One to two years prior clinical experience and recent psychiatric nursing experience required. One to two years of supervisory/charge nurse experience required. Infection control experience a plus.
- Â Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN or Masters degree preferred.

- Licensure/Certification: Licensure and registration by the Board of Nursing as a registered nurse (RN)
- Working Knowledge: Good communication skills. Ability to present information and ideas essential to nursing duties and must maintain effective working relationships interdepartmentally, intradepartmentally, and with the Medical Staff.

- Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Computer software and keyboard proficiency, ability to operate various types of office equipment such as copier, scanner, and fax machines, phone systems, etc. required. Must be able to bend, lift, and reach office supplies and files.

- Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to communicate successfully, both orally and written, to a variety of internal and external customers, while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor.

- Essential Cognitive Abilities: Must be able to do business math calculations and to problem solve independently on office operation matters. Must have strong organizational skills. Must have ability to focus and perform effectively under stress and with multiple priorities. Must be able to make sound, independent decisions pertaining to job responsibilities.

- Essential Sensory Requirements: Must be able to respond to patient/customer needs by interpreting facial expressions and verbal communications.
