Description
Job Summary
This role is responsible for supervising the day-to-day warehouse department activities within the Receiving Department. They will assign work to warehouse associates and ensure productivity, accuracy, excellent customer service, safe work environment and efficient operations; they will also train associates as necessary. This position operates within the hours of 7:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Expect a 40-hour workweek within open hours, including a 45-minute lunch break. Shifts may vary, and mandatory seasonal overtime is required.

Assistant Operations and Warehouse Manager
Essential Functions
- Lead and coordinate receiving tasks, including checking product accuracy and conditions against POs and packing slips.
- Oversee data entry in WMS/ERP systems, ensuring team maintains accuracy.
- Validate incoming materials for damage/discrepancy and report appropriately.
- Support inventory control measures, including labeling, packaging, and assisting with stock management.
- Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are met.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and management.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Act as a mentor by training and coaching team members.
- Delegate tasks and monitor team productivity and precision.
- Handle escalations to the Assistant Ops/Warehouse Manager.
Requirements

- Computer Skills: will train with our ERP (NAV) and Warehouse (Accellos)
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of math.
- Use, carry, set up and climb ladders
- Operate Fork Lift truck and hand truck
- Highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain grace under pressure and contribute to a positive work environment
- Seeing to read and review material for accuracy.

Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse environment. This warehouse is climate controlled.
Physical Demands
The individual will be lifting up to 75 pounds consistently, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, scanning, placing materials, as well as physical bending, twisting, kneeling etc. in a safe and efficient manner. He/she may spend time using computers, so must have dexterity of hands to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.

No travel is expected for this position.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One year Supervisory or lead experience required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organization, prioritization, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and have good follow-through to meet deadlines.
- Must have good leadership and training skills; ability to work with all levels of management and line associates.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and inventory management processes.
