Position Summary

Jenkins Plumbing Company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Budget Coordinator to support financial planning, cost tracking, and operational budgeting for our Hardeeville branch. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, accountability, and visibility across projects and daily operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift. This position will work closely with leadership, payroll, and operations teams to ensure budgets are maintained, costs are controlled, and financial data is accurate and actionable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, track, and maintain branch-level budgets and forecasts
  • Monitor project and operational spending to ensure alignment with approved budgets
  • Analyze variances and provide clear, actionable reporting to leadership
  • Partner with branch managers and department leads to support cost control efforts
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
  • Review invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and budget alignment
  • Support payroll and labor cost tracking in coordination with HR/Payroll
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
  • Assist with financial system updates, reporting tools, and process improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in budgeting, finance, accounting, or operations support
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required); experience with financial or ERP systems preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across departments

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in construction, plumbing, or service-based industries
  • Familiarity with job costing, labor tracking, and operational budgeting
  • Experience working with payroll or workforce cost analysis

Work Environment
