Responsibilities:

  • Books, coordinates and reschedules patient’s appointments. Relays necessary messages to staff.
  • Greets and registers patients in a prompt, pleasant, and helpful manner. Provides any necessary instructions/directions
  • Uses computer system to generate information necessary for billing, ID’s, Medicaid, DOB, Insurance Cards, etc.
  • Update patient information, collects co-pays, provides any necessary forms needing completion, obtains signatures as necessary, HIPPA, and Payments on Accounts Posted.
  • Verifies necessary information and records in the medical record.
  • Maintains and updates current information on providers and diagnostic schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly and appointments are confirmed.
  • Answer telephone, screen calls, takes messages, and provides information.  Maintains a pleasant attitude and deals with customer needs expeditiously.
  • Answers questions regarding patient appointments and testing.
  • Oversees waiting area, coordinate patient movement, reports problems or irregularities.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Will also float to cover other offices as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by clinic office manager
     

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) 
  • At least 1 year of experience preferred
