Clinical Magnet is seeking a mission-driven Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a respected nonprofit, Federally Qualified Health Center serving the Central Texas community.

This is a DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY

About the Opportunity:
This role offers the chance to provide high-quality outpatient behavioral healthcare to an underserved population within a collaborative, integrated care setting. You will work with patients ages 5-99, delivering trauma-informed, patient-centered psychiatric services both in person and via telehealth.

Position Summary:
As a PMHNP, you will assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions in an outpatient setting. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care while maintaining autonomy in clinical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
  • Diagnose using DSM-5-TR criteria
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
  • Provide medication management and follow-up care
  • Deliver trauma-informed, integrated behavioral health services
  • Collaborate with medical providers and community partners
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation (1-2 times per year)
  • Maintain timely and accurate EHR documentation
  • Provide telemedicine services as appropriate

Qualifications:
  • Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Current, unrestricted Texas license
  • Minimum 12 months - 2 years of PMHNP experience
  • Experience working with underserved populations preferred
  • Comfortable treating patients ages 5 and up
  • Strong knowledge of DSM-5-TR
  • Experience in integrated or collaborative care settings preferred
  • Proficient with electronic health records and telehealth platforms

Compensation & Schedule:
  • Base Salary: $119,000 annually
  • Year 1: Base + stipend
  • Year 2+: Base + productivity compensation
  • Eligible for external federal & state student loan repayment programs
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday
    • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    • Tuesdays: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Caseload: 16 - 18 patients per day
  • Intakes: 60 minutes
  • Follow-Ups: 25 minutes
