What You'll Be Doing
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment used in hazardous waste material processing and handling operations.
- Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and related equipment.
- Identify and resolve equipment issues to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while working with hazardous materials and industrial equipment.
What Are We Looking For
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose, maintain, and repair industrial mechanical systems and equipment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, environmental compliance, and safe work practices.
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and rotating equipment systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- Effective problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a hazardous waste material processing facility with exposure to industrial equipment, noise, dust, varying temperatures, and regulated materials. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and provided. The role involves physical activity including lifting, climbing, standing, walking, and working in elevated or confined spaces as needed.
