Description
A Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a building and the surrounding grounds. Their duties include vacuuming floors, sanitizing restroom facilities, and collecting trash to ensure the building occupants have a clean space.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
A Custodian’s main responsibility is to clean a workspace. This task is broken down into several duties performed throughout the day or at other regular intervals, such as:
- Emptying trash cans
- Dusting all surfaces
- Ordering new cleaning supplies as needed
- Washing windows
- Maintaining a thorough inventory
- Must accurately complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Must follow directives from supervisor/manager
- Proactively seek additional work and provide status updates to supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to multitask efficiently and effectively
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
- Occasional lifting, standing, crawling, reaching, use of stairs.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Texas Driver's License
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Pass Background Check
