Overview:
At RMCI, a Nox Group Company, we prioritize people. Our teammates, partners, and customers can expect genuine care and commitment to their success. Our culture is built on strong relationships, accountability, and a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes in complex construction environments. As we continue to grow in mission-critical and large-scale projects, we are focused on strengthening our BIM/VDC capabilities to better support field execution, coordination, and self-perform work.
We are seeking a BIM Coordinator who will work directly alongside the BIM Manager to support day-to-day coordination efforts on active construction projects. This role is execution-focused — responsible for maintaining models, running clash detection, supporting field teams, and ensuring information flows accurately between design and installation. The BIM Coordinator is a key part of the BIM/VDC team and serves as a direct point of contact for subcontractor coordination and field-facing model support.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update BIM models in accordance with project BEP requirements and LOD standards
- Execute clash detection runs in Navisworks and document, track, and distribute coordination issues to responsible parties
- Assist in facilitating subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes and issue logs
- Review subcontractor-submitted models for compliance with project coordination requirements and LOD minimums
- Support field teams with model-based layout, as-built documentation, and RFI-related model updates
- Coordinate directly with trade partners to resolve clash issues and document resolutions in ACC
- Maintain and update coordination issue logs, RFI tracking, and submittal registers as directed by the BIM Manager
- Upload, organize, and manage project files within Autodesk Forma (ACC)
- Support drone operations and site documentation workflows including OpenSpace integration and progress documentation
- Assist with the preparation of coordination drawings, conflict reports, and field-ready model outputs
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of BIM/VDC workflows and project-specific standards
- Communicate proactively with the BIM Manager regarding open issues, schedule risks, and coordination status
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–4 years of experience in BIM/VDC, construction coordination, or related field
- Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks — ability to run clash detection, navigate federated models, and produce coordination outputs
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Forma (ACC/BIM 360) including Issues, Docs, and RFI modules
- Basic understanding of MEP systems and how trade disciplines interact in a coordinated model environment
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and coordination documents
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple open issues simultaneously
- Clear written and verbal communication skills — comfortable working with field personnel, subcontractors, and design teams
- Self-directed with the ability to prioritize tasks and escalate issues appropriately
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience on mission-critical, data center, or large-scale commercial construction projects
- Familiarity with underground utility systems, duct banks, and civil coordination workflows
- Experience with drone platforms and site documentation tools such as OpenSpace
- Exposure to total station layout workflows and field verification processes
- Experience working in a general contractor or self-perform environment
- Familiarity with prefabrication or modular construction coordination
- Field experience or demonstrated ability to work closely with field operations teams
