Crew Leader – Landscape Operations

We're seeking a reliable, hands-on Crew Leader to lead field teams in delivering top-tier landscaping services. You’ll manage daily operations, support your team, keep customers happy, and ensure the job gets done safely, on time, and with excellence. What You'll Be Doing
Crew & Jobsite Leadership
  • Plan daily workloads and prepare tools and materials in advance
  • Assign tasks to team members and ensure high-quality, timely completion
  • Enforce company standards, safety protocols, and crew discipline
  • Train team members using company processes (Job Sequencing, Gardener Training Series, etc.)
  • Cross-train future leaders within your crew
Customer Interaction
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance on site and in company uniform
  • Serve as point of contact for clients and address their needs or concerns
  • Proactively communicate customer issues or site updates to management
  • Help identify safety risks or site issues for customer and company awareness
Quality, Safety & Brand Excellence
  • Conduct site inspections and maintain work to spec
  • Keep daily punch lists to manage job quality and priorities
  • Ensure all safety protocols, PPE usage, and tailgate meetings are followed
  • Keep crew vehicles, trailers, and equipment clean, organized, and functional
Equipment Oversight
  • Track equipment condition and follow maintenance and inventory schedules
  • Complete inspections and reports (Vehicle Safety, Trailer Safety, Equipment Repairs)
  • Be accountable for proper use and care of tools and vehicles
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Read and complete required forms and logs (e.g., LMRs, spray requests, accident reports)
  • Help organize and implement work schedules
  • Report irrigation issues or needed repairs to management
  • Assist with crew performance reviews and tracking goals
Requirements
  • Prior experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance
  • Strong communication and leadership skills (English and/or Spanish preferred)
  • Able to lift up to 60 lbs and work outdoors in all conditions
  • Comfortable using tools, mowers, blowers, trimmers, and more
  • Valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record (preferred)
  • Ability to read schedules, safety procedures, and follow written instructions
