We're looking for a dependable Field Technician I to support industrial and environmental cleaning projects at customer sites. In this hands-on role, you'll safely operate specialized equipment, assist with emergency response services, and help deliver high-quality solutions while maintaining MPW's commitment to safety and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Arrive at the branch or customer job site on time, prepared, and ready to work safely.
  • Operate MPW company vehicles in accordance with company policies and safe driving practices.
  • Assist with the setup of industrial cleaning projects, including water blasting and vacuum equipment.
  • Operate tools and equipment such as water blast guns, water lances, vacuum hoses, shovels, and other assigned equipment.
  • Perform industrial and environmental cleaning services at customer facilities.
  • Follow all MPW Health and Safety policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements.
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment before returning it to the branch.
  • Demonstrate initiative while supporting crew members and completing assigned work efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each project.
  • Respond to emergency service calls as needed, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional work hours.
  • Travel to customer locations as required to support operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

 

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma preferred; some high school education accepted.
  • Industrial, vocational, or trade school experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record that meets MPW requirements.
  • Previous experience performing manual labor in outdoor or industrial environments preferred.
  • Zero to one year of hands-on experience using tools or heavy equipment preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and perform heavy manual labor throughout the workday.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, sit, and work in confined spaces as required.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators, while working around chemicals, fumes, and other industrial hazards.
  • Ability to remain physically and mentally alert while performing safety-sensitive work.
  • Ability to travel for days or weeks when required and work extended shifts, overtime, and a 24/7 on-call schedule in support of emergency response operations.
