Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping a facility safe, comfortable, and running smoothly? CES is looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead building maintenance, repairs, grounds care, preventative maintenance, and facility improvement projects.  This is more than a maintenance job—you’ll play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming environment for our residents, families, and staff.

As our Maintenance Supervisor, you will:

• Respond to resident service requests and complete repairs within 24 hours whenever possible.
• Plan, prioritize, and complete maintenance projects and work assignments.
• Perform repairs involving plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, drywall, furnishings, and other structural needs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on buildings, grounds, equipment, and facility systems.
• Maintain floors and perform routine floor-care activities.
• Keep grounds looking their best through mowing, trimming, weeding, leaf removal, snow removal, and general cleanup.
• Maintain accurate records for preventative maintenance, service requests, work in progress, supplies, and completed projects.
• Manage maintenance budgets, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications, standards, and quality expectations.
• Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and repair, maintenance, and construction services.
• Develop and adjust work procedures and schedules to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
• Review and follow all applicable policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulations.
• Support a culture of teamwork, collaboration, accountability, and exceptional customer service.

Lead & Develop a Team

This position may directly supervise one or more non-supervisory employees. You’ll help build a strong maintenance team by:

• Communicating clear job expectations.
• Planning and monitoring work assignments.
• Coaching and developing employees.
• Recognizing strong performance.
• Addressing performance concerns when necessary.
• Ensuring policies, procedures, and work standards are consistently followed.

Requirements

 The ideal candidate is a dependable, experienced maintenance professional who can roll up their sleeves, solve problems, manage priorities, and lead others.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in property management or a healthcare/facility environment.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Plumbing
  • Carpentry
  • Locksmithing
  • Painting
  • Drywall repair
  • Grounds maintenance
  • Snow removal
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to respond to on-call emergency maintenance needs as required.
• Ability to successfully complete required health screenings/physical examinations.
