The Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) Analyst will be responsible for ensuring PSECU's compliance with HMDA regulatory requirements and the creation, maintenance, accuracy, and reporting of the annual HMDA Loan Account Registry (LAR). The individual is accountable for assisting with the completion of a 100% validation of the data reported on the HMDA LAR, including verifying the completeness and accuracy of the data reported, timely reporting, professional communication to the lending team regarding HMDA issues and inquiries, and ensuring satisfactory reviews, and examinations of the HMDA LAR. The HMDA Analyst is responsible for working with the other HMDA Analyst(s) to maintain and report the HMDA LAR in accordance with regulatory requirements. They will work with applicable Business Units by communicating discrepancies in HMDA data and assist in problem-solving and suggesting enhancements to processes/procedures. This position reports directly to the Director, Compliance Officer and will work closely with the other HMDA Analyst(s), Fair Lending Analyst, and Lending Management.

In this position, you will

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with HMDA regulatory requirements and the creation, maintenance, accuracy, and reporting of the annual HMDA Loan Account Registry (LAR).
  • Responsible for assisting with the completion of validating 100% of the data reported on the HMDA LAR by performing a post close compliance audit on originated and non-originated applications, including verifying the completeness and accuracy of the data reported, timely reporting, professional communication to the lending team regarding HMDA issues and inquiries, and ensuring satisfactory reviews, audits, and examinations of the HMDA LAR.
  • Collaborate with Business Units by communicating discrepancies in HMDA data and assisting in problem-solving and suggesting enhancements to processes/procedures.

  • Assist the other HMDA Analyst(s) in creating an effective and efficient validation process of the HMDA LAR.

  • Perform addition analysis, as needed, including but is not limited to, calculating rate spreads, geocoding data, and running edit checks.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert of all HMDA regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with data reporting and train business units, assign training, and provide guidance to the organization.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors (Required)

One year or more of experience working in real estate lending or compliance at a Financial Institution | Not Required
