What you’ll do

  • Lead daily operations for the Discoveries Group Travel team and help keep everything running smoothly.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members through one-on-ones, training, onboarding, and real-time support.
  • Step in as the first point of support for escalated customer service situations and help remove roadblocks for the team.
  • Partner with the Discoveries, Group Travel and Travel Store Manager on staffing, procedures, team communication, and department goals.
  • Support sales growth, promotional events, travel presentations, and the development of new group business.
  • Oversee records, budgets, reporting, reservations, contracts, and other operational details that keep trips and the department on track.
  • Stay current on destinations, suppliers, travel requirements, and industry updates so the team can deliver outstanding service.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience leading people, managing operations, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • A background in travel, tourism, group travel, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coach others, solve problems, and build trust across the team.
  • Comfort managing multiple priorities, interpreting data and reports, and making thoughtful decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with business technology such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and related systems.
  • Knowledge of travel operations, suppliers, destinations, and customer booking processes is a big plus.
  • A valid active passport and the ability to travel domestically and internationally when needed.
