Summary:
This position is responsible for the processing of all home equity loans in accordance with all state and federal regulations, and internal policies and procedures. This includes home equity loans, and business real estate loans.Â
Essential Functions:
- Â Responsible to execute documents and disburse all home equity applications received via all acceptable delivery channels.Â
- Maintain direct contact with members, branches, and third-party vednors throughout the disbursement process in order to expedite fund/closing to meet or exceed member expectations.
- Preparation of any documentation needed for loan closing and routing to appropriate branch staff or closing agent for disbursement.Â
- Work to satisfy all conditions when received from the Underwriters in a timely manner.Â
- Preparation of and disbursement of loan funds.Â
- Prepare and issue all preliminary disclosures per state and federal regulations applicable to real estate loan requests.Â
- Execute and perfect home equity filing documents.Â
- Order, coordinate, and maintain direct communication/contact with title agencies, abstractors, and settlement agents and attorneys, and insurance agencies/agents, etc.Â
- Responsible to order, obtain and maintain flood certifications and flood insurance coverage as required.Â
- Construct and maintain credit file, to include applicable checklist.Â
- Complete and meet post-closing requirements within the stipulated time frame.Â
- Assist members and cross-sell available products and services that best fit the members needs.Â
- Operate as a team player at all times, and assist other processors as necessary. Provide consistent, clear communication within the team. Work closely with Lending Sales employees, Business Services, Underwriting and Consumer Lending Processing departments. .Â
- Process loans in accordance with established procedures, policies, and standard guidelines.Â
- Utilize Remote Online Notary (RON) to ensure closings secured in a timely manner
- Maintain and compile monthly reporting data and reports as required.Â
- Keep informed on current trends and regulatory requirements in mortgage/real estate lending.Â
- Meet or exceed the minimum established individuals goals and objectives each month.Â

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment and can function in a hybrid work arrangement consisting of in-office work and remote work. This role does require a minimum of 20% in-office time. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.Â

Physical Demands:Â
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essentials of this job. This is a largely sedentary role. It would however, require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and operate general office equipment such as those listed above (see work environment, above). Sitting, standing, bending and hand dexterity are required. Ambulation – able to move from one area to another throughout a regular one-floor office layout. Stairs and elevator provided for movement from one floor to another and to enter and exit the building.
Travel:Â
This position may require some travel in order to successfully complete the assigned functions and goals, including educational trainings.Â

Minimum Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of similar or related or preparatory experience. Candidates must also possess an NMLO designation (Safe Act Compliant).Â
Preferred Education and Experience:
Higher education and more than 2 years of similar or related experience, and completion of a specialized course of study in the mortgage lending field or an extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program. Preferred candidates will possess a Pennsylvania Notary and Remote Noatary designation.

- Operate as a team player at all times, assist other processors as necessary. Provide appropriate clear, consistent communication and feedback within the team. Work closely with Lending Sales, Business Services, Underwriting and Consumer Loan Processing departments .Â
- Keep informed of current trends and regulatory requirements in mortgage/real estate lending.
- Meet or exceed the minimum established individual goals and objectives each month.
- Acts as the primary contact for members, realtors and those involved in the process, to ensure that the documents required for processing and closing are secured in a timely manner.
- Coordinates settlement times and dates with all parties involved in the home equity closing process and complete necessary documentation as required.
- Complete and meet post-closing requirements within the stipulated time frame.
- Utilize Remote Online Notary (RON) to ensure closings secured in a timely manner

- Maintain pipeline reporting for all loan disbursement packages, and identifying potential bottlenecks that could negative effect service delivery.Â
- Assist other departments with any communication that the member/borrower as requested.
- Maintain and compile monthly reporting data and reports as required.
- Helps train, orient, and assist new or existing Home Equity Loan Processor I.Â
- Completes all other duties as assigned by the Home Equity Processing Supervisor.

Preferred Required Education and Experience: A two (2) year college degree with more than 5 years of similar or related experience, and completion of a specialized course of study in the mortgage lending field or an extensive in-house training or apprenticeship programor completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program. Preferred candidates will possess a Pennsylvania Notary and Remote Notary designation
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Proven work experience in a loan processor role. Proven sales prospecting skills. Strong knowledge of federal, state and/or regulatory requirements of mortgage lending. Good knowledge and understanding of mortgage products, pricing and underwriting/closing guidelines. Excellent organizational and time management skills are a must. Professional phone etiquette skills as must. Ability to maintain productivity under pressure and multitask effectively. PC and keyboarding efficiency with general background in the use of office software and machines.
